BKS Iyengar
Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India over 5000 years ago. It is both a physical and mental discipline designed to prepare the body for meditation while promoting balance, strength and inner peace.
The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root "Yuj", meaning to yoke or to unite. This refers to the union of body, mind, and spirit ~ and on a deeper level, to realising the connection between our individual consciousness and universal consciousness.
Yoga is SO much more than just moving our bodies into poses! It’s a way of life and a profound practice to personal transformation.
I am certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Accessible/Inclusive Yoga, which allows me to support individuals with any disabilities, conditions, or injuries ~ offering a safe and welcoming practice for all :)
Each class I share integrates Asana, Meditation, Pranayama Philosophy + more, ensuring that everyone feels included, supported and empowered.
It's very important to me that Yoga remains inclusive for every-body, while staying true to it's ancient roots. There’s so much out there that is marketed as “Yoga" that is so far from it! ~ especially in the West! I also recognise that what I know is just a fraction of how vast and profound this ancient practice really is!
I offer 1:1 sessions suited individual needs & requests and also group classes ~ Please follow the link below to book your session ❤
